Rethink Leadership invites you to explore the possibilities of how you lead to achieve the best outcomes for you, your team and the wider organisation.

Last chance for 2024.

Most leaders share a common want to make a positive impact.

No matter what industry you work in, the greatest challenge most leaders face is how to have positive relationships with the people you work with.

But leaders don't often see this as the initial challenge.

It is more common that leaders experience these 3 problems

1. they need to address a performance issue (you have a poor performer in your team).

2. they need to address a conduct issue (you have someone in your workplace whose behaviour is not ok).

3. they need a reset (you are so over it you're looking at Seek).

There are many variations on these issues, but most roads lead here.

And Rethink Leadership offers you solutions for all 3 problems.

If you want to enhance the way you lead and the amp up the results of your team, then knowing how to effectively:

  • Build trust

  • Address conflict

  • Make a decision

  • Role model accountability

But first you need to learn the skills necessary to achieve this goal. The Rethink Leadership program is designed to offer you all this and more.

About Rethink Leadership

Are you struggling to ignite your team’s motivation to deliver better results?

Are you frustrated trying to lead a team that is falling short of its potential?

Are you always trying to do more, but it’s stretching you to your limits?

Leadership is a tough gig.

There is constant pressure to deliver more with less. It can take a toll on our relationships and wellbeing - affecting us both at work and in our life outside of work.

But it also incredibly rewarding. To see the growth and development of your team members. To overcome obstacles. To achieve great outcomes together.

If you are a people manager or leader and you want to rethink your leadership style and strategies to deliver better outcomes (for yourself and your team), this one-day workshop is for you.

An evidence-based approach to leadership development.

Every year there is another "must read" leadership book or podcast recommendation.

But do you have time, and the head space, to consume ALL the leadership content?

As a leadership consultant, I make it my business to immerse myself in learning about leadership practices, perspectives and current workplace challenges.

I work with clients from a broad range of industries - each with their own unique challenges. So, it's crucial that I stay current with emerging trends and tried and tested strategies that achieve results for leaders.

Many of the popular leadership books are based on specific work environments, like Google, Microsoft or other huge businesses based in the US. This means, these concepts can't be directly implemented into your workplace, particularly if you are facing human resource constraints, limited budgets and uncertainty. There are a few necessary steps to take these concepts and interpret them for implementation.

And that's what I do.

I help leaders and managers make a significant impact in their leadership by understanding the unique aspects of their business.

My approach to capacity building draws on providing considered and curated advice to each client so they can apply their skills and knowledge into their daily leadership practices.

And this means adapting and translating the research and helping you apply it to your unique work context.

Rethink Leadership is a one-day highlights reel of leadership research.

Each participant receives a leadership playbook to guide action taking after the workshop.

📍Patrick Lencioni - The Five Dysfunctions of a Team

This one-day workshop distills the reading equivalent of more than 500 hours, draws on my 25 years of experience in professional services, and supports leaders to take meaningful action to lead with impact.

  • "The value from the workshop was having time to reflect on your leadership style and being asked questions that made you think about how you lead and the implications of your style. Plus, learning how I can improve myself through tips, tricks and skills from Belinda. It's a no-brainer to attend."

How much time do you spend on people problems?

Have you ever calculated how much time you spend on people problems?

I mean those impromptu knocks at your door "do you have a minute?" followed by a 45-minute account of why Pedro isn't pulling his weight in the team.

Or those lengthy conversations you have debriefing with a friend, or partner, over dinner where you end up purging your frustrations about the interpersonal politics of Jeanette and Jenny not getting along.

The fact is, as a leader it can feel like there is never enough time in the day to meet all your responsibilities.

But then you add the perennial people problems, and it can all end up feeling too much.

⌛️So, how much time do you think you spend each week attending to leadership activities?

And is it enough?

Or is it too much?

Kim Scott, author of "Radical Candor" (2017) recommends leaders should be spending about 10 hours per week on active leadership activities.

But for many leaders and managers, 10 hours on leadership feels completely unrealistic - particularly if you also spend time on the tools (metaphorically or literally).

🗓️How does 10 hours stack up against your existing leadership practices?

One of the topics in Rethink Leadership is ‘Optimise decision making and leadership practices’. This session allows you to evaluate your current leadership practices and learn about how to optimise your time to have the greatest impact.

You will also learn:

➡️how to provide developmental feedback that makes a difference to performance

➡️when to have those tricky conversations

➡️what other leaders and managers do to resolve people problems

➡️how to find a common ground with people you find hardest to work with, and

➡️a whole lot more of unknowns that can't be planned for but generally involves participants having "ah-ha" moments throughout the day as they make new discoveries and realisations about their greatest leadership challenges.
